Pin & Chalk is a small shop in Bengaluru.
Why pin and chalk
Before a tailor makes a single stitch, the cloth is marked with chalk and held with pins. That is where every set we sell begins: as uncut fabric, waiting for your tailor and your fit.
Look closely at our name. The i in pin is a dressmaker's pin. The l in chalk is a stick of tailor's chalk.
The names
Seven sets, seven bridges
Seven old bridges, the kadals, cross the Jhelum in Srinagar. Our first seven sets are named after them.
What we promise
A real photo for every set
Taken in daylight and shown beside the styled image.
Plain words about the fabric
We describe what the vendor declares. We never call a set pashmina unless it carries the official GI label.
